Pearl Boxing Club is located in south central Mississippi, just to the east of the state
capital of Jackson. With one current National and World Champion, Brian Nichols, and another nationally ranked
boxer, Darryl Nichols, Pearl Boxing Club has established itself as one of the Mid South's most successful boxing programs.
The club was started in January 2000 by Richard Archer, director of the Pearl Golf Course,
and Stan Nichols, a Rankin County business owner. In 2002 Roland Wilkerson, a retired Rankin Countian, began volunteering
his time to the club. Richard Archer was named USA Boxing's Southern Association Junior Boxing Coach of the
Year in 2003, 2004 & 2005. Stan Nichols was voted 2003 & 2004 Official of the Year for the Southern Association.
All 3 coaches are registered through USA Boxing. Pearl Boxing Club is also the only club in Mississippi
with 3 certified Level 2 coaches.
